Our Values

  • Valuing our staff and the people we work with and provide a service to
  • Offer skilled care to enable people supported by us to achieve their optimum state of health and well-being
  • Creating authentic relationships with our clients
  • Treat all people supported by us and all people who work here with respect at all times.
  • Uphold the human and citizenship rights of all who work with us and of all clients
  • Support individual choice and personal decision-making as the right of all clients
  • Respect and encourage the right to independence of all clients
  • Recognise the individual uniqueness of clients, staff and partners
  • Respect individual requirements for privacy at all times and treat all information relating to individuals in a confidential manner
  • Recognise the individual need for personal fulfilment and offer individualised programmes of meaningful activity to satisfy that need in our clients and staff

Through adopting a social enterprise model, we are aiming to achieve some flexibility in the timing of care at home in order to:

  • Spend time with the person so staff don’t have to rush personal care and so the care is more dignified
  • Manage the finances to give staff time to talk and chat with clients and share conversations
  • Staff have time to find out about clients’ hopes and aspirations and then see if we can action them
  • Meet other needs for leisure, socialising and support by working with our third sector partners
  • Being able to stay longer if necessary to the client’s well-being
  • Provide one hour’s care at a time as standard unless the client specifically requests this or their needs do not require it
  • Ensure that clients retain and where desired, re-establish, contacts within their community.
