At Home in East Lothian offers a range of services 365 days a year, for families who want to make their own care arrangements. It’s your choice what you ask us to do. Our aim is to help you live happily and safely in your own home with the minimum of fuss. Our 6 main packages can be found below, but if what you need is not listed, then please just contact us.

Referred by East Lothian Council

At Home in East Lothian works with East Lothian Council to provide a personal care service for certain clients, particularly those who need help to get home from hospital. You may have been referred from the Council directly, but remember you can always ask us to provide additional support to you as a private client for services that the Council is unable to fund.

Keeping well at home
Friendly companionship
Helping you keep in touch with friends and family
Support with hobbies, crafts and leisure activities
Going with you to appointments
Helping you deal with paperwork if you don’t have anyone to do this
Minimum visit time of one hour
Help around the home

Help with day to day housework (e.g. cleaning, laundry)
Shopping (or helping you use the internet for shopping)
Collect prescriptions
Help to look after your pets

Welcome Home

Preparing your home for you when returning from hospital
Getting in some shopping and making you a meal
Doing anything needed to help you settle back in
Normally a minimum visit of four hours

Personal grooming
Taking a bath or shower
Continence management
Reminders about taking your medication
Administering your medication
Preparing a meal with or for you
Into bed at night
Out and about
Going on visits, outings and trips together
